Laura Evison
February 2025

Not only does Laura run her own business, but she also paints landscapes which are then raffled with the proceeds going to The Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue Charity and SSAFA.
Laura started painting in Covid after her partner took his own life after suffering with mental health problems.
She paints walks that her and her partner used to do, her partner was a veteran, which is why some of the proceeds go to SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.
Laura has also donated to anther charity as when with the Walk About Women Group, she broke her ankle in three places on the Snowdonia Mountain Range, and while sat in a gulley waiting for the Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue to helicopter her out, Laura drew the view while she was waiting, including the Mountain Rescue Team.
This picture raised £735 for the Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue centre.
Laura has also painted a sunset we never had, her work has been displayed in The Drawing Room, she really is an inspirational lady, who has conquered a lot. Well done Laura!
